Video from today's drag strip.

Well tried again and I simply cannot launch this thing. It either wheel hops when you try to get it off the line or it bogs. Had to slow down the 1-2 due to wheel hop and the rest I quick shifted. 2.1 60, 13.1 @ 110.6 mph bone stock. Stick to track days lol

Also not sure why it sorta bogs when you try to quick shift the car. Annoying to say at least.

BTW didn't realize I had finger prints all over the gopro case, video came out pretty shitty

I didn't think your launch was all that bad! Have you tried launch control? Mine seems a bit too aggressive using launch control and I've got to feather the clutch more than I'm comfortable with to keep from overspinning; but I suppose that depends on the particular track and the temperature.

My most consistent launches have been at around 2,000 rpm, somewhat slow clutch release, and slowing easing the throttle to the floor.

I also noticed you did a burnout coming up to the line. I know it seems counterintuitive, but mine consistently seems to get worse traction after a burnout than if I don't do one. In fact, if I get a lot of wheel spin in first, it will also get poor traction after shifting to second. So, may try no burnout and see if your experience is similar to mine.

Good luck, nice car!

I actually tried no burn out, just a clean off and a burn out through the box. The burn out produced the best results. And this car is staying bone stock, not interested in any power modifications due to autox classing.

You know all you need is tires. You will be running 12s every time. Plus DRs on the back is a better street setup than the Goodyears. Even in cold weather they stick. My DRs are kind of tall, You might not like the slight sloppiness this adds. But you could go low profile 20s NT555Rs and save the Goodyears for AutoX. Hope to see you back at Atco. You have the only on other 1LE I have seen there.

Earlier this spring I stopped by Atco with the Goodyears on and I could not crack 12s eve with my mods. Never again will I bother with the Goodyears on.

Might want to try the Hotchkis Chassis Brace, I have had it on both my 2010 L99 and on my 2013 and it cut down on the hop.

This was just another crack at the 12s being that the weather was warmer this weekend. Unfortunately any mods I do to help with the hop will bump me out of F-street which to me is far more important.

13.1 at 110 is nothing to be ashamed of. That's a great run bare stock. Only thing keeping you from 12.8 is the rear tires. No mods needed for quicker runs, only tires if you so desire. Better to keep it stock. That's what I am doing.

Less wheelhop with the DRs. I think if you keep trying you will get 12s, with maybe a little better DA and better track prep.

The only drawback to the DRs is having to put them on. Then if you do not like the tire light on you need TPMS, then you need the TPMS relearn tool, etc. The biggest drawback is $1K+.

Try not lifting off the gas while shifting, pull rpms clear to redline and don't lift just shift, it will improve your time also.

You could just try replacing the outer Trailing Arm bushings. BMR has them in black I think. That would help the wheelhop. Of course all the rear bushings could be replaced and this would help more than just wheelhop. And while you are at it do the radius rod bushings. If you stick with black bushings how would anyone know? Most of the bushings you can't even see. Of course you would know.

I agree about the power-shifting. I have stopped doing that.
