Where to order in San Antonio area?
well it looks like AT&T/CWA Union's bargaining is hopefully coming to a end soon (without a strike). I have been waiting until we sign a new contract before ordering my camaro. I have read several threads listing reputable dealers...just want your opinions. I have heard Gunn and Tom Benson are good to work with, also Valmark in New Braunfels. Also, I have found Ancira is *&%#'ing price-jacking *&%#! What about Freedom in SA? Any input, contacts will be appreciated

Tom Benson, Ancira, and even Freedom all charge over MSRP when I talked to them. Ranging anywhere from 3k over to 6k over. The only places in SA that are MSRP that I've been able to confirm personally are Gunn and Vara.
I'll never purchase any vehicle from any dealer trying to take advantage of hype and buzz by charging over MSRP. They get written off for all future purchases as well. MSRP alone gives them a profitable margin and they still try and charge for extras that are pure profit on top of that. Damn shame. I give business to any companies that show a sense of integrity and good customer service, in addition to fair pricing of course. I ordered from Gunn because they were selling at MSRP, were located down the street from me, and allowed me to order over the other folks on the list due to my constantly checking in and the others being "unavailable" or otherwise unreachable. They're now taking orders on a first come basis. MSRP only...no extras getting pushed like the paint protection or interior protection unless I want it. So far Ken Sheridan out there has been great to work with, and my allocation is getting accepted into the GM system in two more days! Woot! GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!

If I had to do it all over again, I probably would have gone and ordered from Gunn as well. I like the guys at Freedom, but I was kind of disappointed that they wouldn't honor my college grad discount eligibility and charged my a grand over MSRP for miniscule add-ons.
Oh well, you live, you learn, right? |

I was originally gonna order from Gunn, but they were doing that stupid wait list crap (couple wks ago) when u have serious buyers like myself and many others that are ready to purchase asap. So i ended up goin to Vara and they had a few allocations available and i placed my order a week ago and GM has already accepted my order. I'm looking forward to doin business with them

I keep hearing that same story of someone walking in to Vara, and them "having just a couple of allocations still available".
I wonder if they just don't have as much traffic to fill up the allocations as quickly as the other MSRP only lots? Either way...good to hear that they and Gunn are doing well from fairly pricing their highly desired vehicles.

Vara Chevrolet has been great to work with.
Ask for Roger Juarez, he knows the most about the camaros. Tell him Lionel Garcia sent you. I paid sticker. The whole dealership is friendly and they price matched on painting my body kit for me. 600 bucks and it looks near perfect... except for some gaps in the front lip but I haven't seen a perfect front lip yet either so whatev. I'm not complaining. The bad part is they're pretty far south on 35. Depending on where you live that might be a problem for u. I live right off 35 so it's not too bad for me. Roger was also the one that told me about CAMARO5
