I'm running the JRE 650 RWHP setup (9.55" lower pulley, cam, headers, high-flow cats, injectors). The car has an AFCO heat exchanger and stock radiator. During the last open-track day that I did at Gingerman, the air temp was in the low 80s. Coolant temps never went above 240F; oil temps were around 280F which is warmer than I'd like but probably not dangerous. IAT2 varies but maxes out around 130F. This is on a course where I am WOT for about 35 seconds per 105-second lap, so it's pretty tough on the car - much tougher than anything that one could experience on the street without immediate legal consequences.

Alternative Auto Performance (Located on Gratiot just north of 23 Mile if you know where that is). Lidio has been doing these kinds of things for some 20+ years. He used to be Ford only but has been doing LS engines with great results for the last decade. He's well known at the strip for well done and reliable cars.

I tune these things too. Better than most "pros". So I don't give a crap what Jannetty says.

I'm not going to look for the post, but most likely you misinterpreted it.

Jannetty said that fan speed controls running temp. He didnt say it was not tunable. RE-READ his post. And it can be changed in the tune file under the fan settings.

Whatever you plan, include injectors. And error on the side of caution as far as injector size. Adding mods to these cars is like an addiction. Enjoy!!!

Injectors

I'm thinking I'll get the mods listed above done, possibly in addition to a lower pulley and a HX upgrade. Anyone know what a HX upgrade will run for something not too crazy?
Injectors you will be upgrading definitely
