CONGRATS, on COTW, nice story. I saw you out at MIS. I will have to check my photos and see if I have any more with you in them for your collection. I was taking plenty of many IOM's going around the track. Sent you a PM too.

New mod! Okay its not much but that dingy yellow dipstick was driving me crazy. Btw that's my 'driving' engine cover in the pics. My lighted cover rides first class in the back seat lol.

Also getting prepared for paint work beginning of august. Having all the rock chips taken out of the front end, ground effect, & grills. Fenders, hood, front fascia, front ground effect, grills, bezels are all getting repainted and the hood is being prepped for striping. Custom 35th anniversary edition stripes (4th gen to match my 4th gen-esque spoiler) in CFM are being painted by another artist across the hood, trunk, and spoiler. Then its going to another shop that specializes in clear bras to have one put on to help protect it from future rock chips and damage. The pictures hide it well but as probably many of you already know being a daily driver after 2 1/2 years my front end is so bad that it never even looks clean anymore. The amount of rock chips just astounds me. My 02 TA with 158,000 miles on it that has driven across the country in two PCS' (army moves) has a far better looking front end. I don't know if its the shape or the paint quality or both but man I wish I had put a clear bra on when I first bought the car cause it looks bad! And for the price of repairs I could have bought some super fun mods. :( But anyway new emblems painted in CFM by RPI designs. Ive almost got all the silver/chrome off the car woo hoo!

I got mine from RPI Designs. They match a good amount of the 5th gen colors. Tell Mike I said he needs to buy Ruby some dipstick bling! Red Raider too but Ruby first of course. And that yellow to me just always looks dirty no matter how much it gets cleaned. It would almost have been better if it was black from the factory.

Congrats on COTW, well deserved!
(hope you don't mind if I copy the dipstick, yellow doesn't go with anything in our engine bay) |
