I use PetroCanada 94 as well, and don't have much black soot in the tail pipes, either.
Good to know that Chevron sells 94 in British Columbia, as I'll be taking my ZL1 there in August. Manf |

So I can assume that there is absolutely no problem running 91. The book says 91 recommended but 93 for best performance. Easy to find 94 in Calgary at Petro Canada (Sunoco for the American peeps) but I travel to Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia a lot and there is nothing out there with an octane rating above 91. I can make it there and back on a tank now but after break in I'm not so sure. I may have to put in some fuel there at some point. Hence the thread I made to ask everyone what issues if any they have encountered by using 91 octane premium. There is an Esso and a Petro Canada there. Those are my choices. Both stations are "Top Tier" approved so maybe I'm worried for nothing. I want nothing but the best for this car. My bud has a 2013 GT500 who has ran 91 octane in since new. His book also stats that 91 octane fuel is fine but for best performance us 93 or higher. I had him try the Petro Ultra94. His feedback was that the car ran great but the fuel economy dropped quite noticeably. I thought higher octane would provide best performance and best economy. I thought it would be the other way around but apparently the economy was better for him on 91. The fuel economy monitors is quite accurate I assume so I believe him. Neither of us care about fuel economy but it's nice to know what's happening. He did report no soot in his pipes while on the 94 also.

93 always, Chevron is my preference followed by Shell, Texaco. After that I just don't buy gas.

93 Here near Savannah GA, I usually fill at a Kroger Gas Station but wherever I fill I always make sure that their filling tanks inlets are raised up enough that they don't get water in them when it rains.
