Who says you can't fit a Z28 between the 1LE and the ZL1? 50 grand? Why can't Gm milk the 5th Gen?

You mean they didn't already own the Z28 name?
Edit: Nevermind, I see that it had expired.

Sooner rather then later the car is coming, I say as a 2014 car, 200-400 lb drop in wight and a 5 gen DI v8.

I tend to agree more with Ofer on this. We're going to see it on the 5th gen.
My own take on it, which officially means nothing... I truly think the 1LE is a band-aid until "the coming". Not saying the car isn't bad-ass in its own right, it's just that it's an option on the SS (and a very good one) whereas the Z28 may likely be better suited to take the 1LE to another level. Maybe with more power, or even better handling, less weight, and road-race-ready components and less frills. I'm thinking more of a link between the 1LE and COPO Camaro type. My gut feeling says the V6 and SS will stay as the bread-n-butter Camaros. Although the SS originally was tailored more as the street-bruiser, the current ZL1 has sort of morphed into that role. I would have expected a ZL1 to be a barely streetable version of the current COPO type Camaro. Of course I don't have to work with upcoming EPA strangulation regulations either, so I'm not sure how GM is going to work it, but I have faith. But obviously, GM isn't stupid. They make sure things like this get out there in the Camaro public to jazz up discussions. So I think the Z28 will be coming sooner than some people think. Or maybe they're just yankin' chains. JMO.

That's a good place to start. Gives customers more decisions to make. :(
Let's see: SS starts at $33,535 1LE starts at $37,035 Z28 starts at $45,525? :( ZL1 starts at $56,550 I see a big gap ($19K) between the 1LE and ZL1. So there is lots of room to put a starting price. I just want a Camaro and they give choices. damn it.
