You said your car has been sitting for 3 years? Any chance rodents may have gotten in and chewed the wiring? That's the first thing I would check. If all the fuses are good, try disconnecting the battery for about 5 minutes, then hook it back up and see if that fixes it. Try working the switches, and spray a little WD40 in them. If they've tarnished, you might not be getting a good connection when you try to put the the windows up. It's got to be either a switch, wiring or a computer issue.

I looked at the wiring from the BCM and found nothing visible. If it was only one window I would dig deeper into the wiring but it is both. Neither door will turn the radio off when opened and neither door will cause the interior lights to come on when opened. I am thinking the is a module somewhere that is bad. would think a fuse would blow first though.

I think it's related to your car sitting for 3 years. If your doors aren't turning off the radio, then check the switch that lets the car know the door is open. If one of them is stuck, that could be the problem. Having both windows malfunction is not uncommon. They probably share wiring, and if continuity is lost on one side, then neither will work. Keep in mind, I am unfamiliar with the electrical system in our cars. You really need a wiring diagram, or help from someone with a service manual.

Where is said switch?

Yes if I had a wiring diagram it would be helpful but after searching the internet I haven't found one. So if someone has on please share.

I don't know where it is, or if it even exists. There has to be something that sends an electrical signal when the door is open. Otherwise, the radio wouldn't quit and the interior lights wouldn't come on. Look around, you should be able to find it. Like I said, I've not had a reason to become familiar with our car's wiring. I do have some electrical experience, so I was just hoping to point you in the right direction.

What's your battery voltage, and what hell have you put your electrical system through?

I noticed in your other thread you said sitting for 3 years, jumpstarted it and having problems ever since.

That wasn't a good plan.

Well I do have a new battery now. Yes I did jump start it at first. Nothing can change that now.

Well you were right, one wire for both windows. I started tearing out all of the interior to see if a mouse might have gotten in and guess what I found (I hope that is all the mouse did). The green wire is the one for the windows and cutting power to the radio and such. I temp repaired the green wire and wrapped the other one. Everything works now. I will repair them correctly when I get home.

Thanks for the help Camaro5

At the factory 3 guys install that entire wiring harness in one minute and ten seconds.
I am useless but surprising fact man!

Glad to be able to help. Good to see you got it fixed. The mouse probably just got in the one door, so hopefully that's all he did. Have a safe trip!
