That's what I was told. I'm sure it is subject to change, but that's what they are saying right now. Should be real close to that anyway. For me anyway, it sure changes how I feel about a $75,000 Camaro. I would love a Z/28 but it will have to be a low mileage used one or one that a dealer can't sell and wants to give it away. My ZL1 is here to stay for a long time. I have a bad habit of not selling things, just put them away and get something new.

That can be ALL driver.
If it was a ten lap race and your ahead by 4 sec. per lap by the end of the race you would win by 40 sec. That's one hell of a margin. Not to mention without rain the margin should have been larger. Take a look at the nurturing top 100 lap list and see the difference between some of the cars that are 4 or 5 seconds slower than the ZL1 and you will probably be surprised how large of a margin it is. The ZL1 only lapped the 1LE 6 seconds faster on VIR so with your logic the ZL1 isn't much faster than the 1LE?

VIR in its longest configuration is only 4 miles. The Nurburgring is 3 times that length. 6 seconds faster on a track 1/3 the size is hardly a good comparison in my opinion.

Just got my new issue of MotorTrend w/the Z/28 on the cover. Inside story, haven't read yet, just peeked at the result number, anyway the two competitors, Nissan GTR and Porsche 911STurbo, the Z/28 posted the fastest lap times. Looking forward to reading the whole article, oh and the cost was $76K as tested price.

Good point. 6 second difference on a much shorter track is more pronounced. The gap would be expected to widen considerably on a longer track like the Nurburgring IMO.

I see what you guys are saying and in no way am i trying to say that the 1LE is even close to the ZL1. Just trying to make a point that a few seconds can be quite a large margin. Track to track can also make a difference not just due to length but also configuration, as in straights and tight curves when comparing 2 cars.
