Lowering Springs on verts

What kind of lowering hardware is necessary to address the issue inherent in convertibles?

Do we need to automatically go to coilovers? how about sway bars? bushings?

I NEED TO KNOW!!!!!

Any springs will work pretty much. It will just lower about 1/4-3/8" more than the advertised drop in the rear.

What are you going to use it for? I have Hotchkis 1" springs. You will need a 4 wheel alignment and the bushings timed. Total cost for parts and labor would run around $600. Call Tyler at JDP Motorsports and he can set you up and answer your questions for your needs.

Thank you Panther! I just want a bit more aggressive stance without diminished ride quality.

Hotchkis would be the way to go. I have competition sways and you will feel a diffence in the ride with HD sways on uneven surfaces. The springs will not impair your ride much and you will love the look.

Panther!
I have been researching Hotchkis. Will this package work for me, or do you think I'll only need the springs? http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/...stage1tvs.html

If you just want the look with slightly better handling and braking without much change to your ride quality just get the springs. $229 for the springs only at JDP. No taxes and free shipping. Also, note that you have FE4 suspension and that rear sway shown is FE3, which, is not as good.

I've had my Hotchkis springs for 1.5 years. The drop looks great, ride quality is excellent and the car handles like a champ.

Just so you know, the vert actually has FE3 swaybars. It just had the holes for the FE4.

Just lowered mine 1" with Eibach springs and added Hotchkiss sways. Love the change in performance driving and the ride is a little stiffer. No difference on freeway driving from stock, but you'll notice the difference on bumpy roads and of course windy roads!

Correct. as long as it's 2012+ All that is needed for the FE4 upgrade is the bars and endlinks.

Best regards,

Tyler
