For those that have seen one in person...

How big of a car is the Camaro?

I was looking up specs and it looks like the Camaro is a few inches longer, a few inches wider, and only a half inch or so lower than a current Mustang, and I happen to think that the Mustang is a little big for what's needed.

I know the Camaro has a wildly different shape than the Mustang, and the rear fender shape and high beltline does help it to appear smaller and lower in photos - but for those who have actually seen and sat in one, how large does the car feel? Do you feel like you're sitting low to the ground, or is it just average? I'm more concerned with the height than anything else.

I have wanted a Camaro since I first the concept photos, and I've only ever seen the convertible concept in Detroit a few years back. I really can't wait to see one in person.

If you have a chance to see the Camaro in person do it. It really does not seem any bigger than a 4th gen but that’s just me...

I saw Bumblebee, and that car doesn't seem very big at all.

I felt that it was comparable to the Mustang in terms of physical size. But it's proportions and design features give it a larger presence than the Mustang; which is a good thing, imo -- who will you look at first?

It really isn't big. The Challenger...is big. I can tell the difference by trying to lean on the roofs. The Camaro, my arm angles down (significantly, and I'm only 5'11"). On the Challenger...my arm angles up or at the very least its level....huge difference!

It's a four seater with a big engine and a pretty good trunk...I'm not sure how small you want it to be.

It's not so much how small I want it to be, I just don't want it to be larger than needed.

Some cars sizes don't really bug me - like a G8 - it's a big car, but I don't look at it and think "that's too big for a full-sized sedan".

I'm just going to have to reserve judgement until I can lay my hands on one. I'm really hoping the shape makes it seem smaller...

^ That's a little reassuring. I finally saw a Challenger up close and was amazed how wide it seems. The trunk lid has a big surface area and the hood looks large because it has no slope to it--just straight out from the windshield. I'm hoping the Camaro doesn't seem so bulky.

Definitely not. I think the term thrown around to describe the Camaro is..."svelte".

when i saw the camaro for the first time on saturday i was like "i like big butts and i can not lie"

it's not a small car, but nothing compared to the challenger. it's reasonable.

When i saw it yesterday i was very suprised. It wasn't as tall as i thought it would be, neither was it as wide. the chasis wasnt without the fender flares isnt all that large.

all in all the car looks great.

I saw it at SEMA. The Nissan GTR and Challenger are HUGE in comparison. The Camaro is just right.
