SLP has reportedly ditched the V6 programmer after finding that no gains can be made on the stock tune. You cant get one. They obviously jumped the gun letting their resellers advertise their availability. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65825 Not sure if this is bad or good. I guess it saves ya tuning costs on a stock Camaro, but what about mods? Ya got Trifecta working on mod tunes as of right now.

Another report from the same source said the info above is false and that they will be coming out with a V6 tune. Maybe slight gains to be had with tune on stock but appears that modders will reap the benefits.

As Mike just mentioned in another thread:

"so far we have not seen any realistic gains from a tune in our testing on stock vehicles. I would venture to say that there may be some gains to be had with the headers and CAI, but I have no way to say for sure as of right now.

We are still investigating how to bring this product to market, perhaps it will not have any canned tunes, but rather a few adjustable parameters (tire size, speed limiter, WOT timing, WOT fuel, rev limiter, etc) and the ability to be custom tuned at one of our CMR dealers?

I'm open to suggestions from you guys at this point... "

Any word on a release for a tune?
I know that STS has done a couple single turbo kits and didnt know what would be needed as far as a tune on them with like 5 - 9 psi turbo.

Sucks is I live in missouri and finding someone that will do tunes when I get a turbo installed is next to none from what I have found unless I drive hella far.

Update

The long promised SLP V6 tune will not make it to market. I talked with them today and they said minimal gains killed the project.

You'll still see it offered on some web stores but they just haven't updated thier sites.

if you haven't noticed by now when looking at photos of an "SLP" programmer

it is based on the diablosport programmer. if is basically a DS tune with a little modifications you could do yourself for their intakes and exhaust at a premium.

same goes with the "SLP" drop springs... you will literally get a box of springs with a SLP sticker laid over the Eibach emblem on the box!

I was perplexed how they could offer a ZL327hp V6 with just a intake tube, axle back and canned tune until they said today they won't be building them.

I hope so! You guys have been a favorite of mine on diesel trucks. I will be keeping my eyes and ears open for more news. It's early days still for tuning, I won't be discouraged easily.
