There is an '83 Corvette (if you count pre-production anyway); a single one, to be exact. There were originally 43 of them, but when GM decided to push the '83 models to '84 (due to new emission legislation) they ordered all of them destroyed. Plant workers were able to save a single white '83 by moving it around in the system, and it currently resides at the Corvette Museum.

In 1967, we called the Camaro, "the poor man's Corvette"...

NOT TODAY ! The Camaro is one sweet, sweeeet chariot.

I thought they sold the '83 at Barrett Jackson a few years ago

The only consumer available vehicle that I know that has been around longer is the Surburban. 1935 or 36 I think it started and except for the war years has been in continuous production.

I have owned one Corvette, a 1965 convertible that I bought in 1973 for $2,100. Wish I still had that car today!

Technically 1933....Chevrolet offered a station wagon body, built on the 1/2 ton truck frame. This model was specifically built for National Guard units and Civilian Conservation Corps units. Much of the body was constructed from wood, and could seat up to eight occupants.

...Consumer Use...1935

It was/is built on a truck frame.
The Corvette is a passenger car.

As history of namplates...
Suburban, of total vehicle nameplates, dates longer.

That's why I said Vehicle and not car, and consumer available, because of what you pointed out.
