Propeller shaft seal
I replaced my 327 gears with 345's a few months back. I used the GM dealer I bought the car from only because I didn't know anyone local that I could trust to do it.
To My surprise they had never replaced any gears in gen5 Camaro and apparently you have to have special tools. They ordered the tools and a few days later I got the car back. All was well for about a month and then the seal on the propeller shaft or pinion gear shaft started to leak. I took the car back and they replaced the seal. They said they must have nicked the old seal when they assembled it. God only knows why they didn't replace it while they were in there. Anyway I put about 3,000 miles on the car and now it's leaking again. I called the dealer and set up an appointment to take the car in. I know not everyone can set up a differential properly but you would think the dealer could. My thinking is that there is something wrong in the setup that is making the seal blow out after awhile. Do any of you with experience have any idea whats happening?

A few things come to mind.
The vent could be plugged. Over pressuring the gearcase and blowing out seals. The seal surface of the new pinion could be slightly different than the old gears, smaller diameter? They keep screwing up the install and doing something to the seal. This is most likely.
