Somebody hit Monty!
I was enjoying a rare day off today decided to head out of town to Erie Pa, about an hour away. did some shopping, got a bite to eat, and went to a movie (Hellboy II was the bomb ). I come out of the theater and somebody struck Monty in the back bumper. the damage is only cosmetic there is a large scrape about 4-5 inches tall 3 inches wide on the rear bumper cover below the right tail light. there was a accident report on the car under the wipers. i called the police and gave them my info, and they told me to call my insurance carrier. i did so and they will have a local claims adjuster come to my house on monday (GO PROGRESSIVE!). and when i got home there was a message on my machine from Geico (I hate these guys) from the person who hit me. they wanted me to drive my car to a body shop in Hamburg NY which is near Buffalo NY which is over an hour by the way the roads are in my part of the state. i said that is not good enough as i work nights. they will have an adjuster come to my house instead in about 5 days. so if all goes well it should be fixed by the end of the month. the funny thing? I have a small 1-2" scrape on the edge of the left side of the bumper so I was gonna get that fixed when i had the spare cash, now i do not have to worry about it as it will look like it was done by the other driver .
I will take a picture of Monty in the morning

It's actually kinda funny, because tonight I was with my friend Jason in the drive-through at Burger King and some like psycho lady put her car into reverse, BACKED UP INTO HIM, then got out of the car and started flipping out at him, and spent like 15 minutes bitching at us before finally realizing she was going a fraction of a mile an hour and there was no damage, and driving off. The woman was completely off her rocker.

well, I just got off of the phone with the 'other car' insurance company and if all goes well I will have the adjuster come to the house and then I will get the check for the repairs. then its just a matter of calling my shop and getting it in there. and a nice thing, my neighbor across the street works for enterprise so he will help me get a rental while Monty is getting his butt fixed .
