That is freaking awesome!!!

The Vettes used to be so dominate because nobody was in their class. They have a lot to learn with a basically all new car.

No matter the GT class is full of well funded experinced teams of Porsche's , Mazda's , GTO's and BMWs. However the team of TRG and Flying Lizard will be tough.. Bergmeister with van Overbeek are two great drivers. I have co-driven with van Overbeek before and have seen him drive plenty first hand from the time he was a kid and that team is very experienced . Even the team owner Kevin Buckler is very experienced in the drivers seat . I have driven with Kevin before also and he knows his stuff. If the Camaro can last that is incredible... if it can be on the podium at the end that would be unreal and if it could actually win ! Long way to go yet but my fingers are crossed!

Jorg just passed the Camaro on the restart... that's OK. Sometimes it's nice to have a rabbit in front of you

Magnussen is catching Overbeek on every lap... Magnussen was like 40 seconds from the lead now its 4 seconds. He's a machine!

57 broke 3&4th gear in the tranny... repaired now but they lost 30 laps.

97 in 5th but 8 laps down to the leader.... 3 laps behind 4th.

The Prime Corvette effort wll be GT2 in the ALMS series. THe GM backed team doesn't run in the Rolex series.

Plus, they also run e85 in ALMS as part of their Green Challenege effort. So I would guess GM gets better engineering development there.

Take a look - the factory Corvettes don't run in this series and haven't for several years.

The Vettes run in ALMS and have joined the GT2 class against all the BMW's, Porsche's, Audi's, Lambo's there are. You ought to watch this year as it will be good racing.

Still several hours left.. keeping fingers crossed.. too many dang Porsches! Still this is a damn good showing for the only two Camaros in the race. It's about points in the end. Nice job so far Stevenson!
