Camaro v6 vs. 1993 Z28 (stock vs. stock)

Decently matched up. I am assuming that both drivers were semi-decent because of their reaction times.

Pretty close. My brother drove his exgf's LT1 Fbody 13.9 @ 101 bone stock auto with 2.73's. Guess some are stronger than others.

Pretty good run. The LT1 should win as while the peak HP is lower it has quite a bit more torque and less mass to move.

That's a good track and I enjoyed racing there when I lived in MI.

14.7 @ 94 mph is a little off the pace. I was going to say maybe it was really hot and humid but it looks like perfect Michigan weather in that video.

Look at the flag in the top right corner when the video starts! This track runs East to West and it looks like they were fighting pretty good head wind! I know I was yesterday!

That is a pretty slow time for the LT1, The auto's with 3:23 gears are quicker as well as the manual's with 3:42's

Yeah, I'm sure that LT1 has seen better days. I see stock LT1's running 15s at the track all the time. These cars ran easy low 14s back when they were new. But most of them have a lot of hard miles on them now.

Those crumby distributors and water pumps weren't helping matters either That's pretty cool a V6 '10 can get pretty close to Z28s from the last generation. What mods' did that Z' have?...

LT1 Vettes should run mid to high 13s all day. Probably give the L99 a good work out
