Its the offset on the rim you need to get right, And that depends on the rim manufacturer the most, I have a set that are 11" for the rear and an offset of 52 1/2 mm.

I'm running 305-35-20" Nitto DR's on my stock wheels & 315-35-18 Toyo DR's on 9.5" C6 wheels for racing. They fit easily, if you get the right offset, you could probably get 325's under the stock wheel wells. I would recommend that anyone who wants their car to have a meaner stance on the stock 20's to go with a 305 on the stock wheel. With the 305's my SS makes my buddies SS with the stock tires look like a V6.

The stock rear rim offset is 40mm so i don't know what rim you are looking at but 24 do's not seem right as it will stick out from the fender about 1/2 ".

If you look on this forum WIKI you will see that 40 mm is the Number that is given, I don't know on tirerack but i think that 24 mm is not right,As to 305 on stock 9" rim, Some one on the forum has said that he did it.

What wheels do you have? I'm considering moving my 275 rears to the front and going with 315/35/20r for the rears with some aftermarket wheels. Saw a black Camaro running 315's at the MTI Camaro Funfest and it looked pretty good.
