again OP, good race and good result. i rarely get myself into a position to defend anything. ive allowed someone to do that and i'm done.

let's dicuss how awesome blown LS motors are, and how they can handle power instead of misinformed discussions on other brands? eh? how about we do that?


Static CR has some impact on detonation. Dynamic CR has more, which is fully controllable in any TIVCT engine, which is what matters. On a LS3 the same thing applies, but with a fixed overlap cam, the only downside is excessive overlap means a bad idle and non-emissions compliance.

this is an excellent LS2 DCR chart. its a link to a corvette forum. you can see how altering the intake lobe centerline can lower DCR on even very high compression ratios.

Like I stated before, you can get the cyl pressures down with the VVT but still..............................16-20 psi is a bit much on a VVT 11:1 5.0 Coyote or Boss engine. Just sayin. Misinformed........nope. Reality with rod/piston failures at 9 psi in the Coyote is not being misinformed. I guess you havent heard of those failures yet??????

HUH??? I havent said any negative things to anybody unless they stated some negative things to me first. I dont start things but I will defend myself if somebody tries to start crap with me. Its OK, go throw 20 pounds on a stock 5.0 and have fun!!!!

Anyway, there is always somebody faster out there and good run to the OP for beating the Boss.
