The major obstacles to be ironed out will be redesigning the front fascia (the Caprice marketed in the Middle East, shown above, does not conform to current US Regulations), and finding a way to increase production capacity within the designated plant.

I just pray to God they don't jack up the front and rear ends by changing out the facias. The G8 is a STELLAR looking car and should NOT be changed. People LOVE this car and I am beginning to see more and more. You take away that style when rebadging it and you take away what the CUSTOMER WANTS!

Please, please, please....dont' screw with the looks on this one.

Honestly, I don't think they're be much of a diff between the two. Aside from the '09 mid east still rocking the flingy hood ornament from the 70's and 80's (and 90's?)

IMO they need to do the South Africa/Mid East Lumina fascias which are nice and close but still different from the G8's front fascia.

Ill be honest, and keep in mind, im a big pontiac fan...LOVE my current car, 1999 Grand Prix GT, But i was never very partial to the front end on the G8, the grills were just TOO big

Dont get me wrong, its an f'in awesome car, and i would still buy it.

Personally, i would like to see a slightly different body from the Caprice, maybe style it more aggressively. Like a bigger more aggressive Malibu, a little more raked, and harder angles

Wow! I hope they don't do that. We already have a malibu. All they need to do is remove the pontiac emblem and install a chevy emblem.

I hope they eventually learn and trash all that fwd crap. I don't know why the competition consists of toyota econoboxes. To succeed GM is gonna have to compete with the companies that still make real cars. BMW, Audi, Mercedes. The last one to a point as Mercedes has also seemed to have dropped the ball with quality lately. They need to dump that hybrid crap all together, produce a diesel that's cheaper, more economic, and WAY more durable than that shit could ever be. Volkswagen schools em on this. No more kentucky (plastic chrome) on the inside of cars...or outside for that matter either.
