I know Van he's an awesome guy and very good driver. He also put together one of the best heat exchangers on the market, C&R. I had one on my 11 GT500 and it was a huge upgrade from stock ... I also read the 13 GT500 had an upgraded heat exchanger from 11-12 but no where near C&R.

My owners manual says to change fluid types before track use.

Of course, once you take this engine to a chassis dyno known for vaporizing GM fairy dust as we did, the output of the ATS engine looks identical to that of a BMW engine rated for 32 fewer ponies.

Most tracks tell you to change the fluid before you can come and run on them.

Ya I knew upping the boost in the Z was gonna have some consequences but wow it shows you pretty much take the road course ability away from the car. Way to much heat soak. So if you are the Autocross minded ZL1 buyer, looks like leaving higher boost might be for the drag strip/street guys. If not major cooling upgrades might be nessacary (heat exchanger/intercooler, TSTAT, Radiator, pump, bigger tank, and tune to turn it all on faster.)

Agreed might have been better off running the supercharger with the stock pulley and just giving the car a tune and header upgrade.

Significant cooling upgrades are going to be needed in stock form if you plan on road racing the car.

Supercharged cars are far from ideal for that style of racing.

I'd be interested to see what the zl1 and gt500 could do on e85. They'd run out of gas much quicker, but it helps with cooling a LOT, especially in heat soak situations.
