Fuse Pull for a Brand new 2011 LS3

Just picked up my car on Monday. Is the Fuse pull something I should look at doing being that it is a 2011? I have yet to put gas in it as I got a full tank from the dealer but I believe they probably put lower octane in it. Should I wait to pull the fuses till after I get some 93 octane fuel?

Thanks in advance

you wait untill you've ran it with higher octane gas, and then you do the fuse pull

I did the fuse pull after my 2nd fill up. I figured for the first fill up, there will be a few gallons of low octane gas still left in the tank and lines so no point in pulling the fuse since the low octane fuel in the lines will make the ECU just go back to the low octane table. Also the high octane gas is mixed with the low octane fuel in the tank so your octane will be lower. So the 2nd fill up it should be all gravy. Might make more difference for us guys in CA since we only get 91 octane.

You want to drive until you are nearly empty. I'm talking that the gas light comes on and then you still drive it a little more. Then fill her up with 93 octane and do the fuse pull.

I know this has probably been addressed somewhere and frankly I'm too lazy to see but...I have never done a fuse pull. (2011 LS3) About a month after I bought the car, (January 2011) I bought and loaded a Trinity programmer. I have never put anything less than 93 octane in it but there probably was the chance that the dealer before me did. My question is, Does it matter since I loaded the tune anyway?

The tune doesn't mess with the octane tables (or so I believe) but either way I would do the fuse pull just in case.

Wait until after you run 2-3 full tanks of 93 octane through it to make sure any low grade stuff is flushed out.

Here is some more info.

When I do a tune the PCM goes back to the High Octane table I believe.
