I went to order the T3 self install ports and the ACS T3 style splitter from Phastek Performance and their site calculated the shipping cost to be $88!

The packaged ports can not weigh more than 10 lbs and the splitter maybe weighs 15 lbs; I run an online store and our largest/heaviest item (14"x18"x24" 28lbs) can be shipped UPS ground anyplace in the country for about $30.

WTF?

I believe most shippers calculate based on dimensional weight rather than actual weight when you get to a certain volume.

Just another way for vendors(not only the vendor on this thread)to make more profit. Believe me I know, just look where I live.

you are crying over spilt milk.

With the dimensions of the splitter, it is being charged by it's actual size, not it's weight... i believe it's called "dimensional weight" in the shipping industry. Something of that size, it doesn't matter if it weighs 10 lbs or 55 lbs, it's going to be charged the same.... i think it doesn't start getting REAL expensive until you hit 80 lbs.

Hi Everyone, We do currently drop ship these from Canada. We are placing an order on ports and keeping them in stock to help reduce the shipping cost. We dont make any money on the shipping we just push the shipping cost to the customer. Since it cost $75 per set of ports shipped from Canada. Since we will have these in stock in about 2 weeks it will lower the shipping cost to $45 per set. That is $30 cheaper than the manufacture and you will be able to get these faster with us stocking them. Again we will have these in stock in 2 weeks.
