I think it's a value thing. You can always blow another car away by throwing more money at your car. But $ for $ can you blow it (Boss) away? Enter the Z28.

GM will not have to worry about mass producing the LS7, because the ZL1 is not going to be mass produced. At least within the first year.

I believe all they would ask of you is about $20 a day.

I think that the engineers working on a Z/28 really have their work cut out for them to try to build that car. I don't think it can be done, but the only reason I am saying that this is impossible is because the word itself says, "I'm possible." I can only hope, but that is a seriously tall task. Obstacles aside, I really do think its coming. T3 Bumblebee and Jay Leno Camaro is the Z/28 hidden in plain sight. And that's hopefully maybe a certainty.

I'm not sure how the LS7 fits into any of that though

I've said it before the ZL1 is going to be a great car.
My issues with it are: - the $$$$$ - the FI - a nontweakable suspension - too many toys as standard |

I think he's hypothetically speaking in regards the ZL1 comparing to a possible Z28 design as a track star.

I think GM would be wasting their time to try and build something LESS than the ZR1..... I guarantee less than 10% of camaro owners do any type of twisty road or road course riding.... GM has already built a specialty car "track car", the ZL1.... The only thing MOST people want is the name Z28..... WHAT IF I TOLD YOU THE Z28 WAS RENAMED AND ALREADY DEBUTED PURE SPECULATIONON MY PART

GM has worked on the MR system in the Vette and specialty Holden vehicles for years. It absoultely will work and the ZL1 will be a significant step up from the SS. The question in my mind, is will it be faster than the Pedders USA Camaro

Check out my post #481 ZL1 = ZR1 Z28 = Z06 Many of us are looking for a Z06 design Camaro, a Boss competitor not a loaded GT car. And yes the Z28 WAS and now IS the ZL1, because they built a ZL1 not a Z28. |
