NHRA at Phoenix....who's coming?? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I was curious if any members are planning on coming to the NHRA races this weekend? I work for Mike Edwards Motorsports Pro Stock team and thought it'd be cool to meet some fellow camaro5 members. Also GM has a display right behind our trailer with the new COPO camaro.

CRAP! Now I see this post. Was there Sunday for the finals. Absolutely gorgeous day. I was talking to the GM guys there at the display about my wife's '11 SS convertible passenger side brake squeal thing that I am having trouble trying to get the dealer to fix properly (three visits, turned the rotors twice already, etc....) whole other story....seems they may be able to get me help at another dealer.

Anyhow... was walking around with the CamaroFest t-shirt on but didn't draw any Cam5 guys into meeting. Sorry we missed you! Watched the races though. Was actually my very first NHRA Drag Race ever, and we were in section "3" on the starting line! Awesome way to see this for the first time for sure. My god, the Top Fuel rails were incredibly LOUD and blistering FASSSSSST. Especially liked seeing daughter Courtney smoke her dad in the eliminations. Too bad Rob Hight got her in the final race, was kinda rootin for her on that one.

We lost 1st round in Super Gas and made it to the semi-finals in Super Stock so not a super good showing....but the season is just starting.

Good luck on the season! It's a great time regardless, just nice to have the points and some extra cash to pay for all that stuff helps though I am sure.

Good news on the wife's vert, Chevy's going to do all four corners on the car....brakes and rotors....that was unexpected and very welcome.
