2.9L Whipple Kit Almost in Production.. - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Just got an email from Dustin with these almost in production CAD images. I know it's far from a finished kit but it's the newest and most exclusive content regarding the 2.9L for the Camaro SS at this time.

As I mentioned in another thread that somehow disappeared we're Whipple's largest US distributor and will be the first ones to ship these kits. We'll also be offering special pricing to Camaro5 members once pricing is finalized.

For now here's a few new never seen pre-production CAD images of the Camaro 2.9L Kit.

Do you think 800whp on a forged 427 is doable on pump gas with this blower?

yes it would be. I have a friend making that with a a lot less than a 427 with a 2.9 on it.

I'll see if I can snag a few more pics and get a little better idea on pricing. From what I was told earlier pricing will be similar to the Magnuson kits.

Just from following a thread on svtperformance it looks like the the Whipple is cheaper then the TVS for GT500's. That maybe one of the main reasons why the Ford guys dont bother with them.

It may appear cheaper because they might be selling the sc unit alone with an adapts to the factory manifold. But if it was the entire unit with manifold it might be just as much.
