Need answers quick MAGGIE???
I have the TVS 2300 and have my engine and trans out of the car doing alot of mods but my main question is if I install the supercharger with the engine out of the car, will it fit when putting back in or will I have to wait to install maggie? Im putting a cam in it along with injectors, underdrive pulley, coil over suspension kit, ARH long tube headers and full Borla back exhaust. I really need to know if the maggie will fit back in if installed immediately as install starts tomorrow. Thanks.

It's not hard to install in the car. Did you have issues with clearance when pulling the motor/trans?

Does the Maggie have its own dedicated pulleys and belt? If not, I wouldnt use that underdrive pulley.

There were no clearance issues but I did have all the suspension and everything out before removing also. The pulley is designed to benefit the maggie as this setup is used by almost all companies doing mods. I have put alot of phone time in setting this car up the way I want it and asking what works best and this package should be top notch after install pushing about 650hp. Can't wait.

I understand its not hard to install in the car but if it can be done while engine is out, I want to have it completed and it can be tuned as soon as it is installed as well. Just trying to minimize my down time.

Sure, if you're NA or turbo. If you dont change to a smaller pulley on the Maggie you wont make as much boost as you would with the standard crank pulley. You'll still make good power, just not as much.

Try it, it is about the same size as the stock intake.

Underdrive pulleys will underdrive the s/c, if it is using one belt to drive all of the accessories and the s/c. So basically you will lose boost with a smaller crank pulley, and every pound of boost lose can be a good 20-30 HP depending on the system.

The Maggie folks told me not to use the U/D pulley. Have they changed their stance on this? I thought one of the other pullies could be changed to make up for the slightly smaller crank pulley. However, I quit arguing, bit the buttet, and put the stocker back on.
What else are you doing to your motor to get to 650? |
