Duraflex bumper for conversion project.
Wanted an opinion from someone who actually owned a duraflex bumper on the quality or lack of it.
Fitment quality to vehicle won't be a problem for me since I have to modify anyway. I have the Camaro nose el camino, which I highly modified a factory plastic nose to fit, back in dec 09'. Due to some recent interstate guardrail damage, I may use it as an excuse to change things. Plastic is extremely hard to fabricate with, which is why I'm looking into duraflex fiberglass. I have to cut 3" out the middle &reattach as well as numerous modding to the sides. Sideview of my nose conversion. front view, My custom hood extension replaces the upper fascia. Going for the 2015 look or the stingray look. Would love to do the complete 2016 ss nose if GM would sponser me one. |

Pics in my photobucket link, old outdated youtube video, or just google images- Joe's Camaro nose el camino.
I'm in fla & don't even have time to work on my own for a while. This was no easy swap to make look right .Note how hood replaces top of fascia to avoid a huge upper fascia fill in Really hoping to get a response from someone who actually worked with a duraflex product. Like I said, I will have to re fit & make my own mounting flanges. Wondering about the rest of the quality. I could lay up epoxy & mat or other materials to the backsides to strengthen if needed. |
