Please be patient if I am slow. Not all the VIN's seem to be showing up on the railcar records. I will do the best I can. (plus my boss doesn't seem to like this site! )

Just my way to pay back all the great people on the Camaro5 forums!

Thanks!

AWESOME work man!!

Milpitas is a Union Pacific facility.

So we can go here and see a map of the route and location of the facility:
http://www.uprr.com/customers/autos/at_net.shtml

Then we can go here to enter the railcar number & trace it:
http://c01.my.uprr.com/pet/motorVehicleTrace.jsp

And when we enter the railcar number and hit trace, this is what we get:

So c'mon guys, get your railcar numbers & you can do this as well!

Easier said than done. I doubt my dealer would know how to get this info.

VIN# 2G1FT1EW2A9101691

Dealer says that will be dropped off in Birmingham, Alabama for transit by car carrier.

Edit: How do you get the railcar number? ... please dont say... ...your dealer

.... maybe some of you programming genius dudes can find out how to bypass the dealer

.... or one of you dealers could be so kind as to look it up for me and send me a PM?

Not sure why, but your VIN is still the only one showing in transit. Good news for you, its updated again and has an ETA at destination of 4/24! (this is the railyard not the dealership)

Car: ETTX 853165 Status: Load Departed Marcellus, MI 15 Apr 21:18 ET Dest: Milpitas, CA ETA: At Receiver Milpitas, CA on 24 Apr 22:45

That's not my car.
It's D1BADZ's.
I was just using his rail car number for illustration.

Railcar numbers can be found one of two ways:

1) your dealer can call the Dealer Business Center & get it from them

2) PM me your e-mail addy

I have tried everyone's VIN that submitted them to me. I am still trying to find out why only one VIN is pulling up. Its hard to troubleshoot with only one VIN working. I am thinking it has to do with where the car currently is and what railroad it is on. The railroads all report data slightly different.

You all are more than welcome, like I said, just my way to try to give back to the forums. I will keep working on getting more to work.

Thanks!
