You're about as likely to bump the key with your left elbow while driving as your knee.

This is the Twilight Zone....

Who calls there Dept. of Transportation and says something like this: 'I would like to replace a sign that appears to be smashed! Can ya'll come by tomorrow and I have cash or a credit card, I also noticed a pot hole, how much for that? Any discounts for sign and pot hole combo? I just want to help out.'

I wish that I could flush this thread!!!!

I did not call the DOT, I called the city and asked about signs, they directed me to a lady who then sent me a bill for the sign payable to the City of Flower Mound. It was $80ish, and I wanted to take responsibility. For those who ask how I got that much damage going 25, have you ever wrecked your Camaro? My first one was totalled going 30 on an icey day in March of 2013, all I did was rear end my friend. Completely destroyed my RS at the time. Almost made me not want to get another one. here is a pic.

I don't know why I am getting trolled by people on here. I was being informative, and I will change my seat position once the investigator comes. I can drive just fine how it is. I did not punch it and lose control as others said, I was not drinking as another post said, because I was at lunch from work... Sorry to dissapoint you guys, I am no deviant. I do not "punch it" in residential areas, for one, that is a safety concern and I have no cats and my fuse pulled on my exhaust, so that would be asking for a sound ordinance ticket. The stop sign was on the same side of the road I was on, I bumped my key veared slightly to the right went up on the curb hit the sign and stopped. that was it.

So this is your second camaro that was damaged due to a really slow speed crash?!? How old are you?

Your getting trolled because your story doesn't make any sense. Sounds like a huge lie to cover up your mistake(s) and get GM to pay for it! (FYI GM isn't paying for it, especially the way you choose to handle the entire situation)

If you are telling the truth then you shouldn't be allowed to drive a car anymore. (My opinion)

Did you use to live in Nebraska? The car in the pic you posted has Nebraska plates. Looooong way from Flowermound, TX. I don't see any ice on the ground in the pic...none on the neighbor's roof either...

I'm going to crash my car into a stop sign and blame it on the key featured in a recall, 6" away from my knee and nowhere within knee radius so I can get that fancy lookin Zl1 bumper. You got a good plan there. 2 wrecked camaros hmmm, I'm doubting this to be legit!

The OP should mention this so we can finally get push button start. That is serious.
^^^^^
That comment is what's serious.

Some might consider removal of cats an environmental safety concern. But I won't. However it seems odd that anyone concerned about being issued a sound ordinance ticket would remove them in the first place. Some might also consider punching it in non residential areas a safety concern as well. But again, I won't. Some feel the key fob is a serious enough safety issue to recall all units built from 2010 to present. Yet I don't.
