Exposed CF hood insert?

So far...the Ashen Gray Convertible ZL1 has seemed to be the most current ZL1 (in terms of aesthetics) so far.....

With that said...take a close look at this picture below (a crop of the original pics from GM)...

Am I the only one noticing the CF weave around the edges of the insert? Could it be exposed using the ZR1's resin for production??

I thought I saw something that looked off… Good observation! That is very interesting. What does that mean – an unfinished CF hood option? Hmmmm… Well, that changes things.

Look at this picture. Looks like the Stripe would be vinyl over the CF... So a stripe delete leaves exposed CF weave? Note you can see the CF on the edges and inside the vents but not on the surface...

I think that'd be one of the coolest things! I would consider skipping the stripe package for an exposed CF extractor

Yes… what I was once sure of is again thrown into question.

It sure would be good to get some high resolution and detailed photos when we order since a production version won’t be released until after that date.

I am going with stripe delete on my car. It will be interesting to see if the CF is exposed on all stripe delete cars. I would prefer to see the carbon fiber much more than a vinyl stripe.

This one has no vinyl over it as can be seen in the convertible sticky.

It does look that way, it would be nice if there is a CF stripe package to really copliment the hood insert.
