wow i stand corrected i guess. i mean it looks legit in that photo.
pretty cool. is that where you "dip" the part into the liquid that has the pattern?

Here is mine so far. I used Krylon Paint for Plastic. I used the "hammered" style; I like the look. Pics dont really show the detail though. The car is CGM with black interior and Silver Rally Stripes, so this combination goes well with it. The red Chevy Bowties are raised vinyl.

Made my own underhood bowtie from a piece of felt from Hobby Lobby and some lettering from Ebay. The material almost feels just like the pad.
I checked to be sure that there wasnt too much heat for it. The underhood pad isnt really very warm after a long drive.
I will still get a nicer one when finances permit, but this will pass for now.

Great idea! I used construction cardboard for mine and painted it Ralley yellow, so far so good. The graphic is from edecal.com.

This kind of has to do with this, well I like the look of the V8 engine cover and I want to get one for my v6, the v8 will be getting taken out if it fits so I wont be posing or nothing (hate that), but just wondering if it will fit or if anybody even knows??
