Gave mine another try this morning on a small area, not as bad as before but still not right.

A couple of things I did to help was I hung it on the wall ( no bag ) for a month, used a leaf blower several time on the fibers to blow off any hanger on's. Probably the best thing to do is use it more ( but not on my black SS ), time will tell.

As a note- I will not use it after extended days outside as the dust builds up, but I have no problem using it several days in a row.

I have used my CD for about a year now and its great. However the red lint could be due to the fact that you left it out in the sun and it dried up the fibers making them weaker.

This all day. I used a CD once before and all they do is push dirt around. I actually had better results using the swifer duster. Its softer and actually pick up the dust. I use it all the time on the interior and sometimes on the exterior.

I use the CD on mine in between washes. In the garage, quite a bit of dust gets accumulated. Works fine as far as I can tell.

I also use a CD works great, use it for what it intended for DUST and it will not scratch or cause swirls. As far as the lint goes I have not had that issue.
