1LE cold feet vs ZR1/Zl1
My 1LE is almost ready to ship and I am starting to think I made the wrong decision.I really like the 1LE and love tteh price even better but I found a sweet used 2010 ZR1 at a killer deal and got to thinking about purchasing it. I know I could also purchase a ZL1 but I do not want to wait any longer. My issue is the size and weight of the 1LE . The camaro is just so big and feels like a tank to me. Maybe I will get used to it but the smaller vett just feels right. This car will mostly do track days and some friday night cruising .

There is no question that if you found a killer deal on a zr1 go for it. as fun and awesome as the 1le is claimed to be it does not hold a candle to the zr1

Honestly, if you've owned a C6 in the past you would be an idiot if you bought the 1LE instead of a ZR1. There is absolutely no comparison. Shoot, even a Grand Sport would be worlds better. I say this because I've owned a new C6 and the Camaro sitting in my garage right now doesn't compare.

A good deal on a 2010 ZR1 will still be at a minimum double the money of a 1LE, but if you can swing it, it would be stupid to not get it. Ones is a pony car gone sports car, the other is a slayer of super exotics.

I really enjoy the handling and the flickability of the sports cars. Also the lighter weight will be less wear on the brakes and tires but mostley not sure if I will adjust well to the extra weight. I set out to buy the vette but the 1LE just ripped of some killer lap times at VIR and I said lap times are lap times. I guess I was thinking with wallet.

If you want lap times I think the answer would be ZR1 all day.

Seriously, if you're asking that question here - you shouldn't be buying any of those cars! It is so obvious!!!

If you can afford buying a used ZR1 you can afford to drive the 1LE for awhile and then make up your mind. Who knows, you might like it. Many have said it drives and feels lighter than it is. Lap times are fun to read about and brag with your friends but should be a total blast if you are the one driving. As expensive as any ZR1 is, tracking it will cost even more. Numbers tell only part of the story. Drive the 1LE and see how it makes you feel. I would say drive the ZR1 too but I imagine that is a hard test drive to obtain. If they let you drive it they really are crazy and it might be the deal of the century.

The 1LE and ZR1 are different animals. If you are considering the ZR1, you should go ZR1. It sounds like you plan on using the car at the track alot too...which is another reason to go ZR1.
The 1LE and ZR1 will get different attention on cruise nights too. People will notice the 1LE but you will get more thumbs up and compliments in the ZR1.
