Tune

What are the benefits of tuning a 2013 v6 LFX Camaro, both, stock and modified.

Will it increase HP and TQ, approximately how much?

getting a tune will just get the most out of your mods. if you don't have any mods, then getting a tune would really be useless.

hope this helped!

Not true.

The Delphi ECU in the LFX engines has shown consistently to have decent gains. It doesn't matter whether you are tuned or not.

Also, if the OP has an automatic they will benefit from a better/firmer shifting transmission and also some of the torque management can be removed.

I do agree that it makes more sense to be modded first before a tune though.

By the way, just so you know, there were some changes to the 2013 Delphi ECM versus the 2012 model, and so there are still not yet as many tuning options for the 2013, but I think they are coming soon, if not already available. Typical PEAK gains for the 2012 model were around 15 HP give or take some.

HP Tuners has support for the 2013 ECU now.

Do High Flow Cats, Axle-Back Exhaust, and a CAI will require a Tune? ... Regarding CEL (Check Engine Light) or any codes ...
I've understood that a Tune will improve all the modes' performance, but... does the absence of a tune affects the car (with these modes)?

All my mods, listed in signature, and I have no tune. No CEL ever occurred.

Tune would definitely not be absolutely required. You could run without a tune just fine.

But if you wanted even more performance in addition to those mods a tune would get you more. But again, its not absolutely needed.

BNR has supported the 2013 ECM since last year, we can tune it right away if you order from us. We've got a few guys running around on our tune on the 2013 and they love it.

Edit: I see you are located in Mexico- We've dealt with several clients in Mexico over the years, so don't worry about that!

I think I'm going to tune after I install the CAI intake, HFC, exhaust mufflers (since they haven't arrived yet), and after I buy the X, Mid, and Down Pipes. Basically I will tune when I get some money to pay for the pipes and the tune.

How much is a tune? I have MRT V2 and CAI intake..

Also my 2913 LFX is a manual. Still see improvement with a tune?

I'm not sure about costs on tunes for the new LFX, but I'm pretty sure most are still between 350 - 500 dollars or so. If you get a real dyno tune, then it could be more when you add in the cost of the dyno sessions.

Yes, even a manual would get power gains, but don't expect the car to change drastically either. It all adds up little by little.

Thanks!

Where would you go about finding a place to get the tune done? This also voids you warranty, correct?
