V8 all the way for me. I fully intend on keeping this car for many years down the road, and although I know the costs will be higher, I know it will be worth it in the long run...and besides, who doesn't love that V8 rumble?!

V8...
I'm an apprentice technician at Ford (sorry!) and I had never driven anything resembling muscle until I had to service a GT350. I have to say, the power of a V8 is unlike anything I'd driven before. Feeling the front of your vehicle rise as you accelerate, feeling your stomach press into your spine, it's an amazing feeling. I want to feel that feeling daily - every red light... every launch... every time. ...but I really, REALLY don't want a new mustang. Mustangs have never been my thing - it's always been the Camaro for me. I can't wait for the 2010 'vert. |

I owned four 1st gens and there are cues in the 5th - roofline, windows, louvers on the fenders, small interior hints - but that's it. Its enough to give me the warm fuzzies about those warm summer nights, burnt rubber, 2/40 air conditioning.
We are going to keep all our Mazdas for fuel economy with gas soon to be 4.00/gal. The Camaro will be for fun, warm summer nights, burnt rubber, rumbling V8, 2/40 air conditioning. I guess that's retro, huh???? |

With that, I'm sure you will be perfectly fine with a V8, just about anyone should be as long as they respect the car and don't let it get out from under them. |

Definately going to be the V8. Gas prices aren't to much of an issue yet since I live fairly close to work (live in a town of about 30k) so I don't have to spend "to" much yet. Insurance for me won't be much different than I'm paying now for my full coverage so that's not really an issue either (I'l be in my 30's before they come out)
