Note of caution.. Bragging on the forums?

Thought this might be of particular interest to the Canadians on C5... Not sure how that worked... doesn't seem like it would hold up, but apparently it did.

I saw this in another news article, as mentioned, the thread was brought to the attention of the cops, who asked his neighbors who had witnessed his excessive driving, and he felt bad and confessed right away.

I'm glad it happened, so that jacka$$ is off the streets for a while. The thing that burned me the most, and I don't know how I missed it, is that jerk apparently lives in my neighbourhood.
Everyone is lucky no one got killed, because there's a lot of young families in the area. There's always people walking outside, at all hours of the day, both young & young at heart. This goes to prove that it takes an idiot to drive in such a manner, but it takes a bigger idiot, to brag about it. There's a couple of other lead foot jerks around here, that I've been keeping my eye on, too.

He didn't feel bad, he's a class "A" jerk, he knew he was being investigated, and had no way out, that's why he confessed.

Dumb - just dumb. That said, the guy that reported it must have either had a beef with the guy or been a jerk himself. Not that I support stupid driving as such, but a tattle is almost as bad.

I'm not going to disclose to much, but often in these cases its reasonable to believe that the whistle blower often knows the person at fault and does in fact have 'beef' with them.
The catch is, there is no way this should be legal in court as everything is ''word of mouth''. And hearsay is automatically withdrawn in the court process. As for him pleading guilty he is definitely an odd one. No Evidence, Hearsay, .. I really can't believe he pleaded guilty. |

All this being said, he was boasting of doing 100km/h over the limit. We can all agree it's not necessary, it's dangerous, and he deserves to lose his license.
If you want to race, take it to a track. But, yeah, I posted the article because the circumstances must be interesting!
