extended warranty for a used ZL1 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

A new used zl1 is for sale, a 2013, with 400 miles, it was first titled november 2012, leaving about a year and 1/2 of the factory warranty. I ask for a price on an extended warranty and this dealer says no extended warranty is available for the zl1's???

Does anyone know if this is correct?

I'll call another dealership tomorrow. Seems odd.

It depends on the dealership. I purchased an extended warranty with mine, but I ordered it new. Some dealers may not want to offer extended warranties on used cars (strange since many "certified" cars feature extended warranties).

I bought mine used with 5000 miles and extended warranty .

Seems if the car has ever been modified, you can not buy an extended warranty. For sure the car can not be GM certified, and extend the factory warranty so to speak.

Here's what I think. Song get the extended warranty. A year and a half more is enough time to put some miles on it and make sure nothing is really wrong with her. At that point you'll want to put a mod on that would void the powertrain anyway. I thought I'd keep mine stock when I bought it. That idea really didnt last.
