Camaro/Dealer Warranties

I have the 5 year/100,000 mile warranty and bumper to bumper coverage. If I were to do any modifications, like exhaust or an air intake kit (things of this nature), would I void my warranty?

Well I never bought your warranty so I don't know.

But I would read the really small fine print in the paper work before I took anyone's advice on here.

As with any aftermarket (unless it's a GM accessory) you will void the warranty on that part i.e. exhaust, cai now if you have an engine failure GM would ahve to prove that the exhaust or CAI caused the engine to die (just an example if they said the CAI caused the problem).

I myself opted for a 7yr 100k warranty I will be doing an aftermarket exhaust and the GM CAI.

First, I would speak with your dealer and ask this question. GENERALLY, anything that increases/changes engine pressures (superchargers, turbos, headers, etc,) will cause warranty issues. A CAI and catback should not cause any issues, my dealer added mine. Many dealers are different and have varied policies. If you add a supercharger (on your own) and blow your engine, you will probably not be covered under warranty.

The Magnuson-Moss Act (Lemon Law) explains this issue, here's a link that covers the basics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuso...s_Warranty_Act

It shouldn't but you should ask your Chevy service dept to be sure.
