Hello fellow v6ers,
I was wondering if anyone has any detailed instructions on how to install a v6 Airaid CAI. I purchased a used one and I was hoping someone on the forum will have instructions for it. Thanks!!! |

I may be able to help you with that...I have the AirRaid and I think I still have the instructions (I usually don't just throw away stuff like that). If i still have them I can try and get photos to send to you.

KMPrenger, looks like you have the airaid intake. Did you do the IAT mod for this intake? I can't seem to pull up any info on this with searches..

Dang...I was in the middle of scanning my instructions for you when I came back on here to see a link to the instructions online lol. I should have known...duh me.
I didn't do the IAT mod on mine....I went another route. I was going to do the IAT mod, but then a member did this after reading recommendations for this CAI in the Jannetty testing. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97391 What is shown in the first post is exactly what I did to mine. I did it before even installing the first time so I can't honestly say if it helped or not, but everyone else who did it seemed to like it and the IAT temps seemed to be helped as well (nobody every really said it could hurt anything lol) so I went for it.

I dunno lol, but mine turned out pretty much like that...it doesn't look bad! I just grabbed a drill and went to town lol. Of course after your done try and remove any shavings or loose plastic that might be hanging on a bit to the holes you just drilled.

Yep, pretty much it.Making a heat shield also helps with the air temps going into the holes.
