There is a rock slide on 129 now at the beginning near the lake. It should be cleared up quickly but it is causing some problems right now. There is a video of a car running up on some of the rocks when the driver wasn't paying attention, that went nationwide on the news about a day ago. Some of you may have seen that.

The actual dragon is actually open all the way; rather conveniently, the road is closed at the very top, at the bridge entrance. So, all 11 miles are clear.

I was there last Thursday; I haven't had a chance to check if Killboy has shots up yet, but the other 3 sites that post do (I'm just not up to paying $10 for a CD with a couple o' pics that I don't absolutely love).

I'll try posting some of my own pics up later, where my wife isn't quite as tired of me having her move the car around for attempted shots...

OK....I discovered this through a conversation with a Mini Cooper owner, who said that they converge on this location with about 300 Minis every year and "Ride the Dragon." I searched our forums and I discovered this poll.

We should try to do something next year that could potentially get huge...like an East Coast CamaroFest for those who can't make the one in AZ. Who's up for it???

I would definitely attend. Would be a great drive after keeping the Camaro locked up for the winter, lol. Completely forgot about this thread. What do you guys think about March-April time frame?

I've been to the Dragon twice in my Sky. It's a great time, and Fontana Village is the place to stay at.
