Love my CAI intake! Just take your time doing it. The only issue I had was with the lid. Once you have it tucked under the outside lip, it's all good. Lori's tip of using the hair dryer is a good one, that's what I did as well.

It's an awesome looking piece of work. So much better than the stocker. I also love the way you can hear the engine sucking in the air when you mash down on the go pedal too!

Enjoy!

It slightly more difficult than applying a decal on your car and less difficult than changing a tire with a good floor jack and impact wrench. Easy as pie my friend. Just may be the easiest mod in the history of modding.

I am in Trinity AKA New Port Richey. Relocated from MI 10yrs ago. We have quite a few 5th gen owners around here. I can't speak to the V6 but, i'm pretty sure it would be no more work than on the V8. I had mine installed in about 30 minutes.

I know exactly where you are my Sister-in-Law lives in New Port Richey. I think the development is Summer Lakes about 5-10 min from you. We like to come down there Thanksgiving week I will keep an eye out for your Red SS when I am there. Hoping to bring the convertible down this year instead of my Silverado to get a little more top down time in before the long cold winter up here in NY.

Shit, I'm over 50 and a blonde.. I didn't have a heat gun and went into my bathroom and retrieved my hair blow dryer. It worked - just took a little longer for the shrink wrap to do it's thing. Shouldn't take an hour.. Great looking product too. Lori

So easy a Blonde... ummm a caveman can do it. No matter which cold air intake you choose.

IMO, the hardest part was unwrapping it. The do a great job in packaging these thing to prevet damage. Thanks for that!!

Once you get past the wrapping, the rest is a breeze.

Love my CAI, CAI!!

Very easy to install. I did a fairly extensive research as well. The CAI, Inc. unit, IMO, is made of the highest quality. Being in data center design, I appreciated the thermo analysis that was done. It really is a well-engineered product.

One recommendation.....I also went with the Robo-Fab washer fluid bottle relocation kit. Again, not a hard install and really opens up the intake path.
