Ok, so I couldn't stand it anymore and last night I placed an order for perch fillets
from bell aquaculture in INDIANA, land of the race track but where no one apparently
eats or has heard of perch except for bruce and bryan who gave me frank and mary's.
So i make the order and this morning i get the email from support saying that they can ship it to me for 100.00 bucks, so my dreams were dashed against the rocky foundation of life and whisked into the dust bin.

Here's a Link where you can get Walleye or Walleye, Perch, Crappie Combos shipped. I'm surprised that the Walleye is actually less expensive than the combo packs. Damn, now I'm really hungry. Even my cat is drooling over the pics.

And for those of you who don't know, Crappie is pronounced "Crop-py."

I can't keep up with the name changes. In my book it will always will be IRP,some still call it ORP and now it is known as Lucas Oil Raceway.Either way this track is full of racing history.I have seen Big Daddy and Don Prudome win on the 1/4 mile and watched Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman win their first big oval races here before the rest of the world knew their names and so many more great racers when USAC was called Thursday night thunder with Dave Despain. So when you take a drive down that drag strip or the oval you will be in for a treat knowing this is where so many drivers wrote racing history.

Word,

If I was just driving somewhere for the nostalgia and history of a race track though... I would have to include Englishtown at the top of my list... As a kid I watched so many races from there on TV... Never had the oppurtunity to go there... but I would love to...

There are lots of others, but LOR and Englishtown top my list of drag strips...

Lucas will always be IRP to me. I am originally From Indianpolis and will stay downtown and drive to Claremont to Indianpolis Raceway Park. Looking forward to seeing all of the Camaro's and bow ties at circle center cruising downtown. Anyone remenber the bowl on 16th street just down from Indy 500 raceway the capitol of racing? That was loud racing. Can't wait to go back home for the weekend I love Idianapolis and it's racing heritage.

Hoosier at heart living in Michigan!

I couldn't stand it any longer, I got a discount ticket from a friend and flew to midwest and had PERCH dinner. Those beautiful little perch filets , potato pancakes, swirled rye bread. and pecan pie for desert. Like getting a fix.
