Also, isn't it extremely difficult to paint satin colors correctly? Nick C.

And therefore it is a no-go for those of us actually tracking the car. Impossible to clean the clag off without destroying the paint.

BTW, the matte finish held up better the gloss finish... no swirls, etc. |

I can't say the same for the gloss black one I had for about the same time. Since my Camaro is gloss black too... it has swirls, nicks, dings, scratches, etc. in the paint. Could some be buffed out? yeah, but most would need repainted as well. But as I said in earlier posts, I think that satin white pearl stripes could make killer ghost stripes on a summit white car... say a ZL1. :thumb up: |

[QUOTE=steel insane;7137582]That's not a problem Stig - that's a benefit. I had a satin black Harley for years. You never polished it. Wash, dry, plus they they make satin finish cleaners, which is what I used on my matte black stripes.
BTW, the matte finish held up better the gloss finish... no swirls, etc.[/QUOTE Most owners of both don't ride their motorcycles everyday as they do with their cars. The motorcycle is going to be a lot easier to maintain against rock chips and door dings than a car! |
