1969 Camaro Z/28 Cross Ram Carburetors

Hello,

So I was helping my dad go through and clean out some shelves in the garage recently. We came across a pair of Holley carburetors that he had completely forgot about. He told me that he got them from a hot rodder friend of his over 25 years ago. He said that his friend told him they were original Holley carburetors for a 302 cross ram setup. After doing a little research, they look to be legit, well at least from what I could find. I know OEM cross ram set ups were pretty rare back in the day, even more so now. Can anyone tell me if my dad has anything of value? Or does he just have a couple of cool relics from back in the day? I’ve added some pictures I took when we found them.

Third Holley they designated for the never-installed-at-the-factory cross-ram intake, 600CFM.

"By the summer of '68, these carbs were replaced again with a different pair of 600-cfm Holleys. These were LIST 4295, #3957859, ..."

One recently sold on ebay, winning bid $3550.

Here is a pair refurbished, opening bid $7000, Buy-it-now $9800.

So yes, looks like they have some value. Looks like your dad has a small gold mine there. Congrats!!!

I always thought Z28 carbs for the 69 Z had a DZ stamping on them? No?

Cross Ram setups are not 1969 Z/28 Camaro production line pieces. They were sold as "accessories" through the parts department. No need for the production line DZ suffix code. All "DZ" 302 engines came with a single 4 barrel carb setup from the factory.

Those look legit. And as stated above, plenty rare and valuable. Definitely check out camaros.org and or camaros.net for value. Great bunch of knowledgeable, helpful guys there. Heck, you'll probably find some interested potential buyers there.

The single 800 cfm carb was stamped DZ. the dual quad carbs were 4295.
