So we all know the High Pressure Fuel Pump's ticking sound can be fairly loud in these cars. Today I noticed that if I take the throttle up to about 1,000 rpm the ticking becomes very rapid. I have a feeling this is normal, but if anyone else out there knows for sure, or if you'd be kind enough to pop your hood, and listen to your engine I'd appreciate it.

Here is a video. You can really hear what I'm talking about the 2nd time I raise the revs from idle:

Mine does the same Keith.

Well I guess I was mistaken. I have never heard that on my Camaro before but then again I never really listen for it. Its difficult to hear the clicking of the motor after my MRTs and I rarely raise up my RPMS while I'm at idle

I didn't notice mine until I started parking in a parking garage. When I am leaving the garage I inch forward in stop/go traffic and that is when I notice it.

Alright so I may be doing some bigger mods soon to the car and want to know whether the guys who have A/F gauges have bungs welded into their headers or how you're doing it. I'm going to be installing an A/F gauge to monitor everything so want to know how you guys have it done.
