Modification and car warranty

Hey Guys-

Question- being that this is my first new car I have bumper to bumper coverage on my car, as I assume most if not all on here probably have just as well. I was reading somewhere that once you start doing modification and upgrades to your car it automatically voids your warranty. How true is that? And if so how has the changes to most of you's cars effected your warranty? Just curious before I start going H.A.M on mycar. Thxs !!

No that is not true at all. If you mod a part (say you install a CAI) then only your air intake warranty is voided. So if your tranny gives out a month later, you're still covered.

Send a message via AIM to camaro4mybday
there are also some parts that you can get that will retain your warranty such as pedders suspension products, also companies like edelbroc and slp offer superchargers for the for the car and as long as there installed by a qualified installer they offer a drive train warranties to cover when the factory one is voided so you do have options
