Question Squeaking Dash Fan

2011 Camaro 2SS RS

Is anyone else having a problem with the fan (heater/AC) squeaking while it's spinning? Mine is about to drive me nuts! :(

Is it something easy to fix, like an hour or 2 at the dealership or will they balk at having to give me a rental and tear the dash apart to shut it up?

Thanks for any help!

Mine does too. Took it in for warranty and they claimed they couldnt reproduce it. I will have to go back to show them personally, which is a pain, but must be done i guess.

This happens on a lot of GM cars, and the dealers usually won't fix it in my experience.

As a temporary fix, you can turn your fan speed all the way up for a second or two and then back to where you wanted it, which seems to 'reset' the noise for a short while -- at least that works for me.

I saw this thread today> http://camaro5.com/forums/showthread...43#post4509243. I thought it might help just in case you're having the same noise. If all else fails you should be able to have this taken care of your dealer. Just show them what you're hearing to make sure they know what to look for and they should be able to take care of it for you.
