ZL1 vs Challenger SRT8
So this guy that lives around me constantly says he could beat my ZL1. I believe he has a 2008 Challenger SRT8 6 speed, muffler delete, and cold air intake. My car is a 2013 ZL1 M6, Rotofab CAI, corsa catback. How do you guys think this would go from a 40 MPH roll? From a dig?

If its an 08, its an Auto. Manuals werent introduced that year. The 08 also has a weaker rear end with a inferior "posi"
Quick answer is you would win from a roll or a dig, his mods dont really add any HP and the 6.1 is rated at 425hp. |

It might be close from a dig but you will eventually pull away easily as speed goes up.
No contest on a 40 MPH roll. You will leave him quickly and keep going.

Unless he is put some serious mods in it you will beat it easily. Both cars weigh about the same but your 580+hp will destroy his 425hp/420tq.
Hell, a stock SS should be able to beat it. I'm assuming driver skill is equal or at least close as well. |

The ZL weighs 4120 and the SRT8 weights 4137 w/ moonroof. ZL easily beats the SRT8 with its superior tires, hp/weight ratio, etc. |

A friend of mine here has an auto '12 with Kooks, tune and cold air. He made 434at the wheel. His best pass on DRs is a 12.08 at 113. You should win from any scenario

Just saw your specs. How do you keep your SRT from sailing into a low orbit? |

5.0 you would win
GT500 you would loose Again assuming stock and driver skill. Even if the finals specs on the 2015 5.0 are better (glad to see Ford finally getting IRS) you still have much better power ratio. Last edited by alaskacamaro; 03-18-2014 at 11:35 PM. |

Good driver (ZL1) should beat up on all the cars you mentioned.
And I don't care about the low 12 sec glory passes in the SRT8 or 5.0. I go to the track all the time and I NEVER see them run that fast in stock form. But I do see ZL1's run low 12s (stock) pretty regularly with skilled drivers. |

A ZL1 should yank a 6.1. Though a 6.1 is a drivers race with the SS.
