Stroking VS Blowing?

hey guys kinda curious what you guys think. Im having trouble deciding on what i want to do. Im gonna do some major upgrades to the car over the next 6 months its a SS/RS M6. I dont know if i should jut put headers, CAI, exhaust and TVS 2300 on it. Or if i should just go all out and do a forged bottom end to get the most out of the super charger and if i do go that route does the added boost mean i need to change heads as well. Or should i do a stroker since ive got it out anyway and then add the blower and how will the stroker handle the boost. Also does anybody know of any COMPLETE kits for doing a forged bottom end. by complete i mean right down to every bolt that has to be replaced. thanks

I say you get Stroked and Blown, lol. I did that on the Hemi truck(413ci w/turbo) and the Silverado truck(408ci w/turbo) and will be doing that to my brothers Camaro.

blown stroker in my truck, i love it. no complaints at all. i did everything but blueprint and balance the bottom end/short block. there are kits for strokers and kits for blowers, but i dont know of anything DIY that has EVERY single piece of everything needed- short of having someone like lingenfelter or a fine vendor of this site build it for you. if you got the money then that option is usually perfect lol

stroking or blowing? well whats she look like? hahah lol. i love superchargers. so thats what im gonna say. but if you want to getinto the motor, you might as well do the things needed to keep the motor running strong.

Hmmm, I’d say do a 4 inch stroker with 9/1 pistons and a nice blower cam
(might be able to do it in 2 kits, plus a few odds and ends)
Run that around for a few months, then add the blower.
That ought to keep the grin from fading away
just my 2 cents

As for stroker vs. blown...if the budget allows, do both.

Are you planning on building the bottom end yourself or do you want to purchase a complete shortblock? If you want complete, check out Texas Speed & Performance...they have some nice stroker packages that are well priced...

Money talks! If you got money, Forge + Blower. If budget is tight do blower now, enjoy it and then forge it later when you got more $$$!

I agree with Kilo on this if it is possible. It gets the peace of mind that there is a strong bottom end. As for what components and foundation parts, again that is all based on the planned budget. When you start adding in things like an LSX block and LS7 cnc heads then things change even more to be able to use all the potential. Cost goes up but the potential becomes much higher. All depends on the realistic goal. Depending on what it is be sure to consider the obvious needs for the drive train to keep it moving.
