Anyone wish the car WASN'T in Transformers?

I feel like a kid again when I look at it and especially drive it

Does not bother me any at all. Wanted a Camaro soooo bad in highschool but could not afford one.


Bumblebee is cool anyway. Somebody had to play him....might as well had been the Camaro.....

I don't understand how any Camaro enthusiast can be upset about this. This kind of attention is teaching a new generation to be enthusiastic about Camaro's. If you truly love them, how can you be upset about the attention to an iconic brand?

Our friend's 6 year old now tells me he will buy a yellow Camaro when he grows up, since it is his favorite car. Is this wrong because he didn't fall in love with the cars the same way you did?

Also, would GM be building the concept without all of the positive press and huge interest generated by the movie?

It's not like they had much of a choice. Every autobot was a GM vehicle, Bumblebee was already a coupe (I think he was originally a Beetle), and the corvette was already used (I think).
I'm glad they decided to use the Camaro though. A Suburban wouldn't have been as badass.

I ordered one cause it's the coolest looking new car out there. I got my 2001 Grand Am GT in 2004 and for the past 5 years I was thinking about what car I could get to replace it. Was gonna go get a Charger then I heard the Camaro was returning so I said to hell with the Charger, I'm gonna wait as long as it takes for the Camaro!

I didn't mean to be mean, but the original car that bumblebee was way back when he first appeared in the toyline was a beetle.
In fact, they paid homage to that in the first movie. When Sam's looking for his car, Bumblebee hits an old beetle, then breaks all the other cars' windows with his stereo.

I would have never known about the Camaro, had it not been for that movie, it allowed me to pre-order and learn about the Camaro long before they were being built.

I owe that movie for getting me excited again about a car.

I'm looking forward to when cops pull me over to look at it.

The car gets plenty of attention from muscle heads and chicks, it's only the people who refer ONLY to the movie I could do without.

I saw a black one today and it had a sharpie temp plate that said BBEE, I guess that is the issue plate they are waiting for so maybe they will do yellow stripes???
